Parking & Directions to the Niagara Falls Cruise

The single most important thing to know before you drive: there is no on-site parking at the boarding area. Everything below is about closing that gap — where to leave the car, how to arrive without one, and how much walking to plan.

Where you're actually going

All boarding takes place at the Lower Landing in the Great Gorge. You reach it by ramp or elevator from the Main Ticket Plaza:

Main Ticket Plaza 5920 Niagara Parkway Niagara Falls, ON L2E 6X8 Landmark: the White Sails, near the Zipline to the Falls Tower

Set your GPS to the Main Ticket Plaza, not “Lower Landing” — the plaza is the public arrival point, and the landing is down in the gorge below it.

Parking (there's none on site)

You’ll use nearby paid public lots. The cruise site names three:

  • Niagara Parks paid lots along the Niagara Parkway (the main falls-area lots)
  • Clifton Hill Parking Lot
  • Skylon Tower lot

All of them are also busiest during exactly the times the cruise is busiest, so allow extra walking time on top of whatever the parking itself takes.

Niagara Parks lots are the closest managed option. Per Niagara Parks, a daily parking pass is $31.86 + HST (available online as an add-on) and allows re-entry to most Niagara Parks lots for one calendar day — handy if you’re combining the cruise with other stops along the Parkway. An all-lots annual pass is $50 (HST included, Ontario residents). Overnight parking is not available at any Niagara Parks lot. Rates at the main falls lots are seasonal/variable, so check the current rate at niagaraparks.com before you go — the figures above can change through the year.

The best car-free option: WEGO

The WEGO bus stops near Queen Victoria Park, a short walk from the Main Ticket Plaza, and skips the parking problem entirely. WEGO passes are valid for unlimited rides across the window you buy, so one pass covers getting to the cruise and the rest of your day along the Parkway.

Current WEGO fares (per Niagara Parks, prices include tax, CAD):

PassAdult (13+)Child (3–12)
24-hour$16.00$12.00
48-hour$20.00$16.00

Children 2 and under ride free. Fares can change seasonally — check the current fares at niagaraparks.com/wego before you rely on them.

Getting there by origin

From Clifton Hill: a scenic 5–10 minute walk downhill into Queen Victoria Park brings you to the plaza area.

From the New York (U.S.) side: cross the Rainbow Bridge on foot or by car. Bring a passport or NEXUS card, and allow extra time for border delays, which are heaviest in summer and on weekends.

From Toronto: about 90 minutes by car.

From Buffalo: about 30 minutes, depending on the border wait.

Give yourself a buffer

Because parking is off-site and boarding is first-come, first-served, arriving early is the difference between a relaxed start and a rushed one — especially in peak season. See the schedule for operating hours and how much total time to budget, and the best time of day to sidestep the worst of the crowds.

If you have mobility needs, the accessibility guide covers the ramp, elevators, and where to get boarding assistance.
