Weather & Cancellations for the Niagara Falls Cruise

Short version: the cruise is built for wet weather and runs in almost all conditions. It’s canceled only when conditions are genuinely unsafe. Here’s what that means for your plans — and the one thing worth confirming before you book.

Tours operate rain or shine. The experience is designed for wet conditions — you’re going into the mist of the Horseshoe Falls either way, and a complimentary poncho is included. Rain alone is not a reason the cruise won’t run, so a cloudy or drizzly forecast isn’t something to reschedule around.

Every departure is the same standard full-mist basin cruise, so weather doesn’t change which trip you get — see best time of day for choosing a departure time around crowds and light.

The cruise is canceled only in severe weather or unsafe operating conditions. The operating season itself (May to late November) also depends on weather, river conditions, and ice conditions, which is why the earliest and latest weeks of the season are never guaranteed.

Two policies apply, and it’s worth keeping them separate:

• Our service fee is non-refundable. As a private booking service, our fee reflects the reservation and convenience we provide, and it isn’t refundable.
• The operator’s own terms govern their cancellations. If a departure is canceled or changed on the operator’s side, that’s handled under the operator’s terms and conditions.
